WELCOME TO
HISTORIC HILTON VILLAGE
Historic Hilton Village was the first federally financed housing project during World War I. This charming village is located in the middle of bustling Newport News, VA. This historic district was planned to mimic an English-village-style neighborhood, has been recognized as a pioneering development in urban planning, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Village today remains much as it did when it was first planned and built in 1918 –19. Generations have lived, worked and loved in this timeless place. Enjoy our thriving business district that includes a library, public art, historic fire station, art deco performing arts theatre, restaurants, art pop shops, antiques, artisan marketplaces, jewelry, boutiques, and shops.
Hilton Village Main Street is a designated program of Historic Hilton Village, Inc., a 501c3, that is reliant on gracious donations from residents, businesses, property owners, and dedicated villagers. Through this program, we are able to complete our projects and fulfill our goals. Donating to HHV, Inc. means furthering our mission to preserve Hilton Village's historic importance and timeless pace while encouraging a thriving economic future and a strong sense of community.
